“Ten Dollar Dinners” Open
About This Project
If you’ve ever met Melissa D’Arabian, you find yourself smiling even if you really don’t want to. She’s a bright, ball of positive energy and I wanted to capture that almost childlike optimism she effuses. This open for Food Network series, “Ten Dollar Dinners,” was a collaboration with the spectacularly talented animator, Nelson Diaz. Hand drawing is so not my area of expertise but I knew I wanted something evoking 1950’s kitsch. This I employed Neslon to draw out some frames and voila!
